The Caleb Cares Foundation ("Foundation," "we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to youth empowerment, mental health awareness, anti-bullying initiatives, and community development. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website at calebcaresfdn.org (the "Site").

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, how it may be shared, and the choices you have. By using our Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.

If you have questions or concerns about this policy, please contact us at contact@calebcares.org.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you provide to us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit the Site.

Information You Provide

When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, you provide:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Organization name (optional)
  • Message content
  • Inquiry type - one of: General Inquiry, Volunteer, Corporate Partnership, or Work With Us

Information Collected Automatically

When you browse the Site, our web hosting infrastructure and analytics tools automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL and exit pages
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Date and time of your visit

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate nonprofit operational purposes, including to:

  • Respond to your contact form submissions and inquiries
  • Connect volunteers, corporate partners, and collaborators with our programs
  • Understand how our Site is being used so we can improve it
  • Diagnose technical problems and maintain Site security
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use contact form data for unsolicited marketing or share it with advertisers.

3. Contact Form & Inquiries

Our contact form accepts four types of inquiries:

  • General Inquiry - Any question or comment about the Foundation or its work.
  • Volunteer - Interest in contributing time and skills to our programs.
  • Corporate Partnership - Interest in sponsorship, co-branding, or institutional collaboration.
  • Work With Us - Interest in employment, fellowship, or contractor opportunities.

Information submitted through the contact form is received directly by the Foundation team. We use the information solely to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to route it to the appropriate person or program. We do not add contact form submitters to any mailing list without explicit consent.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information - such as financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or medical information - through the contact form.

4. Web Analytics & Server Logs

Like most websites, our web server automatically records access logs that include IP addresses, browser types, and pages requested. These logs are used for security monitoring and troubleshooting. They are not used to identify individual users by name.

We may also use standard web analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns - such as which pages are most visited, where visitors come from geographically, and what devices are used. This data is reviewed in aggregate and is not linked to your contact form submissions or any personally identifying information unless you have provided that information separately.

5. Third-Party Services

Our Site incorporates tools and services provided by third parties. When you interact with these features, your browser may communicate directly with the third-party provider, and those providers may set cookies or collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party data practices.

Third-party services currently used on this Site include:

  • Elfsight - Instagram widget embed
  • PayPal - Donation processing
  • Google Fonts - Typography (Inter typeface served via Google's CDN)

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with.

6. Elfsight Instagram Widget

Our Site displays an Instagram content feed powered by Elfsight (App ID: 5448345a-065f-4926-a375-7a8f1b85b266). This widget loads content from the Foundation's official Instagram account (@calebcaresfdn) and is embedded via Elfsight's widget platform.

When the Elfsight widget loads on your browser, Elfsight's servers may receive your IP address and standard browser information as part of the request. Elfsight operates as an independent third-party service provider. Their data collection and processing practices are governed by the Elfsight Privacy Policy.

The Foundation does not receive any individual user data from Elfsight as a result of the widget loading on a visitor's browser.

To opt out of data collection by Elfsight, you may disable JavaScript in your browser or use a browser extension that blocks third-party scripts. Disabling JavaScript will prevent the widget from loading but will not affect the rest of the Site's core content.

7. PayPal Donate Button

Our Site includes a Donate button that, when clicked, redirects you to PayPal's secure website to complete a donation to the Caleb Cares Foundation. We do not collect or store your payment information on our Site.

All donation transactions are processed entirely by PayPal. By using the donate button, you will be subject to PayPal's Privacy Policy and their terms of service. The Foundation receives only the donation details that PayPal transmits to us for our records (such as donation amount and donor name if provided through PayPal).

For questions about a specific donation transaction, please contact PayPal directly or reach out to us at contact@calebcares.org.

8. How We Share Information

The Caleb Cares Foundation does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We may engage trusted service providers (such as email delivery platforms or web hosting services) who access information solely to provide services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Foundation, our community, or others.
  • Organizational changes: In the unlikely event that the Foundation undergoes a significant restructuring or merges with another nonprofit organization, information may be transferred as part of that process, subject to the same protections described in this policy.

9. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter to maintain a record of correspondence. Server logs are typically retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes.

If you would like us to delete your contact information from our records, please contact us at contact@calebcares.org and we will honor your request to the extent feasible and consistent with any applicable legal obligations.

10. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our Site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts data in transit between your browser and our servers.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use discretion when submitting personal information online.

11. Children's Privacy

The Caleb Cares Foundation is deeply committed to the well-being of young people. However, our website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at contact@calebcares.org. We will promptly delete any such information from our records.

12. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you reside, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of certain data uses

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@calebcares.org. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that certain information may be exempt from deletion requests where retention is required for legal compliance or legitimate operational purposes.

You may also limit certain data collection by adjusting your browser settings, such as disabling cookies or JavaScript for third-party embeds. See Section 6 (Elfsight) for more details on controlling that specific widget's data collection.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the services we use. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
